For this blog I am going to write
about a song called “Freebird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. This is a song about a man
who is leaving a woman in order to travel the world and be free. It is a slower
song that is meant to calm the person listening to it. The song is one of the
classic, timeless melodies that do so well at remaining popular. It is a great song and is something
that I like listening to whenever I can. The tone of this song is happy, even
though the song is singing about something that can be sad, the man is happy
because he is following his dream. Many people don’t do what they want and
become sad with their lives, because they never got to do what this song is
singing about, but this man is doing what he wants, that is the reason that I think this is a happy song. The
majority of the song is slower and something that is easy to listen to and is
something that can be used to make someone feel better. There are parts of this
song that are different. This song is really long, about nine and a half minutes, so I
recommend listening to it when you have a bit more time so you don’t have to
stop half way through.
One of the things in this song, that
is different from many other songs, is that about halfway through the song it
starts a very fast guitar solo, and this lasts about four minutes. This solo is
very fast and takes up a lot of time. It does become slower at some parts, but
it is always at a higher rate than the rest of the song. I like how the band
leads up to the solo, and makes you anticipate when it is about to start. I
encourage people who listen to this song to try and guess when the solo is
about to start. The song ends with every instrumental member of the band
playing to rap up the large solo. This is a song that can be found anywhere and
is made by a band that I think has many good songs.
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see
But, if I stayed here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you can not change
And this bird you can not change
And this bird you can not change
Lord knows, I can't change
Bye, bye, baby it's been a sweet love
Though this feeling I can't change
But please don't take it so badly
'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame
But, if I stayed here with you girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you can not change
And the bird you can not change
And this bird you can not change
Lord knows, I can't change
Lord help me, I can't change
Lord I can't change
Won't you fly, free bird, yeah
